Come learn about recycling from soon-to-be master recycler, Jannina Killian! Jannina shares information about the 6 Rs of the waste hierarchy (Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair and Recycle) to reduce our impact on the environment. She will then focus on the ins and outs of our local recycling system and get attendees recycling questions answered. Topics covered will include what makes recycling work, why we do it, recycling basics, other waste streams, and an introduction on how to live a lower waste lifestyle.Killian is a Waunakee resident who sells reusable paper towels online and in businesses in town. She will also be launching in-home environmental consulting later this year where she will help people conduct trash audits and provide solutions to living a more eco-friendly lifestyle.
