The Hampton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., is planning to host the 2nd Annual Medical & Mental Health Wellness Fair on Saturday, May 16, 2026 from 9am until 5pm at the Hampton Roads Convention Center located in the heart of Hampton, Virginia. This event is free and open to the public.
The purpose of our Medical and Mental Health Wellness Fair is to provide community resources in the areas of medical and mental health such as but not limited to: preventive care classes, breast cancer screenings, discussions pertaining to the importance of prostate screenings for men, mental health awareness, chronic disease management, nutrition, and the importance of living an active life through exercise. This wellness fair will educate our community regarding their access to services and foster a sense of community by bringing the citizens of Hampton together along with local agencies to share valuable information, resources and offer support. Attendees will receive brochures, pamphlets, and other educational materials about health resources available in our community.
This Wellness Fair will highlight the importance of Mental Health awareness to reduce the stigma that surrounds this topic and encourage our community to seek counseling when needed. Overall, our Medical & Mental Health Wellness fair aims to truly improve our community health outcomes by educating our citizens, promoting access to health services within our city and encouraging a healthier lifestyle for the entire family. Together, we are strong! For those interested in getting a cancer screening, please bring a copy of your insurance card and your ID. If you don't have insurance, financial assistance will be available to those who qualify.
