On Saturday February 1, 2025 we will host our 27th Annual Kelsey Marie Meekhof Memorial Dinner and Auction celebrating 27 years of inclusion, acceptance, and greater independence.Thanks to Kelsey and her family, great things have happened at Reins. Her legacy is carried forward for many others to enjoy the benefits of ROL’s unique programs. In her brief 14 years, she made an impact that most people never do. Her sunny personality affected everyone she touched.
Kelsey’s memorial event gives families opportunities to share their story and magnitude of impact Reins of Life has brought into their lives.
We are marking 47 years of service, making a difference for children and adults with disabilities in Northern Indiana. Our programs address many needs of fragile members of our community, and often the services we provide are the key activity to the well-being of persons with exceptional needs and abilities. Our programs are expanding and we have more participants than ever before. As we continue to grow as an organization, our goals remain the same:
• To develop and nurture the full potential of all people involved in Reins of Life;
• To offer programs that maximize the potential of equine-assisted services to benefit the communities we serve;
• To educate the community about the benefits of equine-assisted services.
This event gives Reins an outlet to talk about the inimitable partnership of a human and a horse, and the benefits one can derive from equine-assisted activities. It also provides our sponsors with a platform to showcase their devotion to our community. The evening is enjoyable and memorable thanks to the dedication and generosity of people for whom the well-being of the organization is so important. We are particularly thankful for Dr. Mark and Carla Meekhof, our Chairpersons, through whom we reach many doctors and other professionals along with Chuck Freeby, who will return as our auctioneer.
Support those most in need as together we unlock new and wonderful abilities, and talents, of all involved in the Reins of Life, through their hard work and a nurturing, respectful and inclusive environment.
