About this Event
George Eliot, author of Middlemarch, considered by many to be the greatest novel ever written in the English language, opined, “It never will rain roses: when we want/ To have more roses, we must plant more trees.” Prepare to be surprised and captivated when members of the National Arts Club’s Literary Committee present short readings from their original works on the theme of creating opportunity from difficulty – or even crisis – in a world where problems are never in short supply. This event will be held in the Sculpture Court.
