This year, The224 Rising Experience opens its doors in a new way!
We welcome Hartford’s leaders, creatives, entrepreneurs, and community builders into an evening designed to spotlight Hartford’s innovators, elevate emerging businesses, and celebrate the creative energy shaping our city’s future.
Guests will enjoy a curated program featuring immersive art moments, live performances, and opportunities to connect with influential leaders, entrepreneurs, and artists. This gathering also marks the unveiling of The224 EcoSpace’s new business plan and expanded support services for the region’s creative and entrepreneurial community.
We are honored to recognize two leaders whose work reflects The224’s mission:
Soulpreneur Award – John Motley
Veteran, attorney, nonprofit executive, and the first African American chair of a major U.S. art museum board. His career reflects a deep commitment to leadership and service.
Soul-Artist Award – Joe Young
Nationally recognized cartoonist, filmmaker, and creative educator. His work in storytelling and community engagement has shaped culture locally and beyond.
