Keynote Speakers: Amanda ReCupido
Amanda ReCupido leads strategic planning efforts for nonprofit clients encompassing fundraising and communications, staff and board engagement, issues mitigation and more. Under her leadership, the Downers Grove Public Library Foundation has increased its fundraising and community awareness, including its first-ever signature event, matching donor and major grant. Amanda is a frequent speaker in the media, on podcasts and at events about the importance of libraries as vital public institutions.
Our Author: Steven Rowley
Steven Rowley is the New York Times bestselling author of Lily and the Octopus, a Washington Post Notable Book of 2016, The Editor, named by NPR as one of the Best Books of 2019, The Guncle, a Goodreads Choice Awards finalist for 2021 Novel of the Year and winner of the 22nd Thurber Prize for American Humor, and The Celebrants, a TODAY Show Read With Jenna Book Club pick. His fiction has been published in twenty languages. All of his books are in development for feature film or television adaptation. Originally from Portland, Maine, he is a graduate of Emerson College and currently resides in Palm Springs with his husband, the writer Byron Lane, and two rescue dogs. His newest novel is Take Me With You. Steven brings his resonant wit and emotional insight to an epic love story – an exploration of the forces that draw two people into the same orbit and the gravity that threatens to pull them apart. We are thrilled to be able to offer his new book before it is officially being published.
