About this Event
This year's event will take place at the scenic, centrally located Lakeside Garden Center in Oakland, with a strategically planned mid-day schedule to help you avoid heavy traffic.
We’re thrilled to welcome back several of our long-standing nursery partners alongside exciting new participants. This year’s fair highlights plants that attract and support pollinators, and these esteemed nurseries will be sharing their expertise and offering a fantastic selection to inspire your next planting.
The Plant Fair is ideal for industry plant enthusiasts of all kinds, including landscape designers from Northern California, Bay Area contractors, design students, and horticulture educators. Whether you're eager to discover new and unusual plants or expand your professional network, this fair has something for everyone.
We have extended the hours of this year's event from 10 am–3 pm to allow for a packed agenda featuring a welcome message from APLD, vendor displays, informative presentations, and a plant raffle. Former APLD board member and Master Gardener Anna Wendorf will also present on outstanding California native plants and pollinators.
Enjoy a light lunch of sandwiches and chips—perfect for keeping you energized throughout the event. Water will be provided. Please bring a reusable water bottle to help reduce waste.
Note that there is a fee for parking in this area, so we encourage carpooling if you are able! Don’t forget to explore the beautiful gardens at Lake Merritt, just a short walk from the venue!
