It's back! ? We're thrilled to announce the return of the much-loved Spellman Care Annual Christmas Cake Competition! This year, following a hugely successful competition at Craven Nursing Home in 2024, the event is being hosted by last year's winners, Steeton Court Nursing Home, on Wednesday, 3rd December 2025, from 2 PM to 4 PM! ?Our four brilliant Head Chefs from across the Spellman Care group will go head-to-head, putting their baking skills to the ultimate festive test. This year brings a new challenge! For the first time ever, each chef must bake and present two spectacular cakes for our resident judges and their families: a delicious Traditional Christmas Cake and a Modified Cake (this could be texture modified, diabetic-friendly, vegan, gluten-free, or a range of other adjustments) to show off their adaptability and commitment to all dietary needs! ??
The whole afternoon will be hosted by the fantastic singer, Craig Carlisle, and it's our wonderful residents and their families who will have the important job of choosing the ultimate winner! ?
