ACTIVITY OVERVIEW
Join our panel of experts for an interactive, live CME-/CNE-certified workshop exploring multidisciplinary strategies to enhance the diagnosis and management of multiple sclerosis (MS) in the rapidly evolving treatment landscape. This event features distinct tracks for specialists and primary care providers. Topics will include early recognition and differential diagnosis; the latest insights from clinical trials and real-world data on disease-modifying treatment options; recognition of disease progression, independent of relapse activity and its potential role in changing treatment sequences; and avenues to foster collaborative care and shared decision-making. Don't miss this unique opportunity to engage directly with leaders in the field and ensure your practice remains at the forefront of advancements in MS care.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This initiative is intended for neurologists, MS specialists, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses, as well as other healthcare providers who manage patients with MS.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon successful completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
Multidisciplinary Joint Session
- Evaluate strategies that support prompt differential diagnosis of MS to ensure effective treatment initiation
- Describe current concepts of DMT management for relapsing MS, including different treatment strategies (immune reconstitution therapy and early aggressive vs escalation approaches)
- Assess the most recent efficacy and safety data on DMTs approved for relapsing and progressive forms of MS
- Discuss the clinical significance of emerging activity measures, such as PIRA, on MS treatment selection
- Explain how to effectively integrate shared decision-making and collaborative care into MS management plans
Specialist Track
- Identify imaging characteristics and other distinguishing clinical features that can used to differentiate MS from other demyelinating neurological disorders to guide appropriate treatment
- Select appropriate treatment, considering personalized benefit-to-risk profiles, and shared decision-making, for individual patients with MS or other demyelinating disorders
- Describe the mechanism of action and available data for investigational agents in MS
Primary Care Track
- Apply best practices in the symptomatic management in MS
- Implement strategies to provide whole-person care, beyond disease-specific
management, for those living with MS
