About this Event
Originally co-founded in 2006 by Mr Tunde Odutoye and Mr Asit Arora, the 15th London Head and Neck Dissection Course is an intensive course including instructional sessions, expert panel discussions, live surgery and supervised cadaver dissection (two delegates per cadaver) on the following techniques:
- Transoral
- Oropharyngectomy
- Thyroidectomy
- Parotidectomy
- Submandibular and Neck Dissection
- Laryngectomy
The major feature of this course is the investigation into the anatomy relevant to an array of head and neck surgical procedures to simulate real surgery. Technological advances have transformed head and neck surgery and for this reason the course will also feature:
- Robotic Surgery (TORS)
- Transoral Approaches to the Thyroid Gland
- Endoscopic Assisted Approach to the Thyroid Gland
- Radiofrequency
- Continuous Nerve Monitoring
- Latest Energy Devices

Prof Duvuuri will present the Thomas Tatum Lecture, a continuing lecture delivered by high profile guests each year which has become a highlight of the programme.
Nate Jowett of Harvard Medical School
Dr Jowett will support the new Reconstructive Course on Thursday and Friday, alongside course director, Alistair Fry.
Ralph Tufano MD
Ralph Tufano, will present on two subjects; firstly; Transoral Approaches to Thyroid and secondly; Radiofrequency Ablation using innovative technology.
