About this Event
The Henry Girls are sisters Karen, Lorna and Joleen McLaughlin from Co. Donegal in the Northwest of Ireland. They manage to combine something of their Irish heritage with a much more contemporary sensibility, imbued with compassion, insight, and warmth, both in their lyrics and their magnificent musicianship. They are three sisters from County Donegal. Using harp, fiddle, accordion, piano, tin whistle, ukulele and voices, they have a unique rootsy sound which borrows elements of traditional Irish music. The reviews have been exquisite, for example, The Sunday Times described their music as ’astonishing’. They are natural performers and are known for their warm personalities, onstage and off.
