This interactive Thai Curry Paste Cooking & Culture Workshop offers participants a hands-on introduction to authentic Thai cuisine, with a special focus on making Thai green and Thai red curry pastes from scratch.
Led by a Thai chef, participants will learn how to prepare traditional Thai green and red curry pastes using fresh herbs, spices, and aromatics such as chillies, lemongrass, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, and garlic. Participants will then use the pastes to create authentic Thai curry dishes, gaining an understanding of flavour balance and traditional cooking techniques. Throughout the session, the chef shares personal insights into Thai food culture, family life, festivals, and daily living in Thailand, placing the cooking experience within a wider cultural context.
