Would you like to have somewhere local in Thackley to go to enjoy creative activities, play games, or to just enjoy some company and conversation?
With the support of Thackley Cricket Club, we’re starting a new community social group. It will be in the early evening and just twice a month during the lighter summer months to begin with.
Come by yourself or with friends.
You can bring along your own materials, but we’ll have some arts & crafts available to purchase at low cost. A few games such as scrabble, dominos and cards are provided but feel free to bring your own too.
We hope to add to the other local community social opportunities, with a particular emphasis on reducing loneliness and social isolation in adults. Not everyone can attend daytime provision, so this is suitable for those who work or have other commitments during the day, or who just fancy something to do in an evening.
There will be a small charge of £3 to cover running costs including tea, coffee and biscuits. The club will usually be open so other drinks from the bar are also available to purchase.
If the car park gets busy, additional parking is available on Ainsbury Avenue, though if you are able to, you could enjoy a nice stroll to the club.
We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the first one on the 14th April.
