Students will design + construct a piece of art-wear-clothing which might include secret pockets, vintage fabric, patches, photos, etc.!
About this Event

Drawing on themes of individual recollection and memory for inspiration, students will design and construct a piece of art-wear-clothing which might include secret pockets, vintage fabric, patches, photos or other ephemera, using a variety of materials including but not limited to donated, repurposed, self-owned existing garments and/or cloth/fabric pieces. Garment assembly will rely on standard sewing techniques, together with quasi-stitching, such as Velcro, zippers, glue and tape. General topics will include assemblage and collage in the art world, and clothing as a vehicle for commemoration and remembrance.
