Make your own personalised ring - a gift for yourself, or a Christmas gift for someone special :-)Master the basic technique first in copper or brass, and then craft your final piece in silver.
Learn to measure your finger, cut metal to length and texture it without rolling mill, hammers and punches. Then use a jewellers torch, sandpaper and polishing, and your beautiful new ring will be ready to wear.
This 3-hour class is ideal for beginners, groups of friends and visitors to the city.
Included in the class fee are copper and brass for practising on, up to 6 grams of sterling silver and all consumables such as sandpaper, solder and chemicals. Extra metals are available for purchase in the studio.
Kids aged 12 (or so) are welcome to attend the class, but any person under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an enrolled parent or caregiver.
Workshop fee is $128, Early bird pricing $115 (ends 18 November).
