Explore the fun of texture painting! In this class, you’ll learn how to sculpt shapes and designs directly onto canvas using an artist medium similar to frosting with tools like palette knives and brushes.
After a demonstration of techniques each student will spend the rest of class completing a painting. Choose any design that speaks to you… from flowers to modern abstracts. Paintings will be finished in all white, which helps us focus on composition, design and technique. Color can be added at home after it dries completely and I’ll share different methods to achieve stunning results.

• 11 x 14” textured canvas to take home

• Ages 14 and up (minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian)

Registration includes admission to the beautiful gardens before or after class.

About the Instructor:Sonja has had a lifelong passion for creating art and loves experimenting and exploring a variety of different mediums. Her successful artistic career began as a graphic designer in the 90s. Jewelry making and metalsmithing followed in 2004, with the first of many juried art shows and awards. She loves sharing the creative journey with others through group classes and individual tutoring.
