This lively, hands-on workshop is designed for complete beginners, but it’s also a great opportunity for more experienced students to enjoy a creative session making their own unique bangle. Everyone will leave with a beautifully finished sterling silver bracelet of their own preferred texture. We’ll begin by experimenting on a sample strip of copper, where you’ll practice creating textures using hammers, punches and stamps. Once you’re confident you’ll move on to your main project: a 3mm wide sterling silver flat strip bracelet, crafted entirely by you from start to finish. Along the way, you’ll learn essential jewellery making skills including measuring, texturing, soldering, shaping, and finishing.
Students are free to personalise their bangle with textures or stamped designs. This could be a simple hammered finish, decorative patterns, or meaningful words, names, dates, or poetry lines - making your bracelet truly one of a kind.
Beginners will work with the 3mm silver strip provided, ensuring a rewarding project that’s manageable to complete.
Experienced students may choose to challenge themselves by making a wider bracelet from flat strip or by creating additional bangles in silver wire. (Please note: extra silver for wider bangles is available to purchase at the workshop, and let us know if you wish to go wider so we can make sure we have the strip in stock).
This workshop is a taster class: perfect for anyone seeking a fun, creative experience with a beautiful result, or for those looking to dip their toes into jewellery making and build foundational skills.
Workshop fee $145, early bird $130 till 12 October.
Extra materials are available to purchase in the workshop or you can upgrade your silver to a wider strip and pay the extra.
