About this Event

🌸 Texture Rollers + Plant Pots 🌿

Celebrate the season in the Ceramic Studio with a hands-on handbuilding workshop inspired by spring growth and fresh starts!

In this class, you will learn how to create ceramic tiles using slab-building techniques and then transform them with decorative surface methods. Create your own texture rollers, try your hand at sgraffito carving, and experiment with underglaze painting to add color and personality to your work.

Once you’ve practiced these techniques, you’ll use your decorated slabs to construct a beautiful, functional flower pot—perfect for welcoming spring into your home.

🌼 Workshop fee includes:

  • All clay and materials
  • Glazing and firing
  • A flower and soil to plant in your finished pot at pickup

No prior clay experience required—just come ready to create, experiment, and get a little messy!

Ages:

Recommended for ages 10+, with anyone age 10-13 welcome with an accompanying adult to supervise 1-on-1 for the duration of the class.

Parking:
  • Street Parking is Metered
  • The Highland avenue parking lot behind Dunkin Doughnuts is also available for parking, if there is not closer street parking.
