Celebrate TEXTILE heritage in the Carolinas. State Legislatures have designated the first week of October as TEXTILE HERITAGE WEEK.Celebrate the amazing heritage of TEXTILES at the Textile Heritage Museum in Burlington, North Carolina.
In April 1882, Glencoe Cotton Mills began producing plaid cotton fabrics, which had initially been started by his father, Edwin Holt, in the village of Alamance.
In March 2004, the Textile Heritage Museum had its grand opening, which continues to share the textile heritage of Alamance County and North Carolina.
We invite craftspeople (textile, woodworking, jewelry, painting, and pottery) living historians/reenactors and other history and art minded artisans to join us setting up and showing and selling your talents.
If you would like to reserve a display table space, please email us: [email protected].
