Texas Panhandle FLL Kickoff 2026

Welcome to the FiT-Panhandle Kickoff 2026 event! Join us on Sat Aug 22nd, 2026 at Texas Tech University Whitacre College of Engineering Livermore Center! Attendees will learn about season updates and see a demo of the field!

We will also have breakout sessions for each of the programs!

FIRST LEGO League is a STEM/Robotics program for 2nd - 8th grade students. In this program, students use LEGO productions to accomplish tasks given to them based on the current season's theme, which changes every year.

Through FIRST LEGO League, students get to engage in creativity, innovation, and problem-solving, preparing them for future programs and activities!

FIRST LEGO Explore, 2nd - 4th, teams of students come together to design, build, and code an interactive model using FLL Explore & SPIKE sets. Students then have the opportunity to attend festivals with other teams to present their model to judges and engage in other activities!

Engineering notebooks and a series of lesson plans are provided to help guide students and teachers throughout the season!

FIRST LEGO Challenge, 4th - 8th, students compete in a LEGO robot game that changes every year. Students also work on an innovation project where they design and construct a model that represents a solution to a real-world problem! Students have the opportunity to advance to regional, state, and world events!

Engineering notebooks and a series of lesson plans are provided to help guide students and teachers throughout the season!
