The public is invited to celebrate “Texas Girls in STEM Day” with a discussion from Abigail Mooreside from NASA’s Johnson Space Center. Join us on Saturday, March 7, at 6 p.m. in the Health Sciences Center in Room 130. Abby is a spaceflight operations scientist originally from South Carolina. She graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in Spaceflight Operations and two minors in Human Factors and Aerospace Life Sciences. Abby began her NASA career in 2022 as a contractor at NASA Langley Research Center by supporting spaceflight medical operations research and engineering support for the NASA Artemis Human Landing System. Currently, Abby is training at NASA's Johnson Space Center to become a Ground Control Specialist flight controller for the International Space Station Ground Control console.
Per House Bill 3435 Victoria College will celebrate Texas Girls in STEM Day on March 7 with conversation highlighting women’s experiences in STEM fields.
