Texas Cook'Em: High Steaks in Edinburg is proud to announce that it has been recognized as an official host location for America’s Block Party, part of the nationwide celebration commemorating the United States’ 250th anniversary, America250.This July 4, 2026, communities across the country will come together for the largest synchronized Independence Day celebration in U.S. history. As an official America’s Block Party location, Texas Cook’Em will bring the spirit of patriotism, community, music, food, and family fun to the Rio Grande Valley with a full day of festivities at Ebony Hills Golf Course.
The celebration will take place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, beginning with the signature cook-off competition that has made Texas Cook’Em a beloved annual tradition. Attendees can also enjoy a variety of food and retail vendors, live entertainment, family-friendly activities, and community attractions throughout the day.
This year’s event lineup will feature live tribute and cover band performances celebrating some of America’s biggest artists, including Green Day, George Strait, Morgan Wallen, and Jimmy Gonzalez. Attendees can enjoy an evening filled with free live music, high-energy performances, and entertainment for the entire community as part of this historic America250 celebration.

Texas Cook’Em continues to serve as one of the Rio Grande Valley’s premier Fourth of July celebrations, bringing families, visitors, businesses, and community members together for a memorable day honoring America’s 250 years of independence.
“This is more than a celebration, it’s an opportunity for our community to be part of a historic nationwide moment,” organizers shared. “We’re excited to welcome families from across the region to celebrate freedom, community, and patriotism together right here in Edinburg.”
Texas Cook'Em: High Steaks in Edinburg is presented by the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce, Explore Edinburg, City of Edinburg, Edinburg EDC, H-E-B, Omar Ochoa Law Firm, Fiesta Chevrolet Edinburg and J. Gonzalez Law Firm. The event is free and open to the public.
