Meet the Author: Stephen Harrigan
Join us Wednesday, April 16th at 6pm for a special happy hour featuring celebrated Texas author Stephen Harrigan, as we spotlight his latest novel, Sorrowful Mysteries.
Stephen Harrigan, Texas author and journalist, has made a lasting impact on literature and historical storytelling. Born in Oklahoma City in 1948, he grew up in Texas and became a longtime writer for Texas Monthly, with his work also appearing in The Atlantic, The New York Times Book Review, National Geographic, and more. He is the author of twelve books, including The Gates of the Alamo, a New York Times bestseller, and Big Wonderful Thing, a sweeping history of Texas.
His novels and essays have earned numerous accolades, including the Spur Award and the Texas Medal of Arts. Harrigan has also written for television, with screenplays for HBO and Hallmark. A graduate of the University of Texas, he lives in Austin and continues to shape Texas literature with his insightful storytelling.
