Fireworks & Bonfire night in association with Tewin Cowper PTA5pm on Saturday 8th November 2024

Below are some useful and important reminders before the event:
There is no parking on site so we encourage you to walk to the event wherever possible. However, if this is not feasible, there is limited parking behind the Tewin Memorial Hall and around the Lower Green. Please note that Cannons Meadow, and the side of the green that enters Cannons Meadow, will be closed to all except residents access. This is to allow emergency vehicle access in the case of an emergency.
The doors will be open at 5pm. This year we will be using the side gate as the entrance again.
At the gate, we will have people ready to scan your tickets, so please have your tickets to hand - either on your phone or printed out - to speed things up. REMEMBER - IF THIS IS A SOLD-OUT EVENT, NO TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO BUY ON THE NIGHT.
The bonfire will be lit at approx. 5.45pm and the fireworks will commence at approx. 6.15pm. We expect the night to finish at around 7pm.
There will be plenty of hot food (burgers, hot dogs & veggie sausages), hot drinks, sweet treats, and a licensed bar on the night and these will be serving from 5-6pm. Last orders will be at 6pm to allow the volunteers to also watch the display. It will be busy, so get in there early!
We also have some free fun Bonfire Night arts & crafts and free tattoos, plus face-painting from 5pm-6pm. These are all super popular so we would suggest getting there as soon as the doors open if you'd like to do these :-)
We can accept cash and card payments on the night. Toilets will be available to use inside the school building.
Finally, a few words on health & safety:
- PLEASE DO NOT BRING SPARKLERS OR YOUR OWN FIREWORKS OF ANY KIND TO THE EVENT
- If you lose sight of your child, there will be a lost children station in the arts & craft classroom.
- First Aid will also be in this classroom and will be clearly signposted.
- Please keep your children off the field and playground apparatus. Marshals will be on site to help prevent this but children are to be supervised at all times.
If you can no longer make the night, please do let us know, as there are often lots of people on the waiting list who would love to buy your tickets from you :-)
