About this Event
Parliamentary Procedure defines how groups of people, no matter how formal or informal, can most effectively meet and make decisions in a fair, consistent manner—and make good use of everyone’s time. While parliamentary procedure cannot guarantee that every member of an organization is pleased with the outcome of a decision, it aims to ensure that every member is satisfied by the manner in which the decision was made. It also assures that the organization makes decisions efficiently and with consideration for every member’s opinion. Come and learn about the TN Epsilon Unit of Registered Parliamentarians (TEURP), a local chartered unit of the National Association of Parliamentarians. We provide training and support for attaining parliamentarian credentialing (Registered Parliamentarian and Professional Registered Parliamentarian); provide parliamentary education to the community; assist with maintaining the integrity and competence of the profession; maintain high professional standards; and keep abreast of the latest research in the field of Parliamentary Procedures.
TEURP meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month. It's officers are: Quinta Martin, President; Minty Ballard, Vice President; Carla Gardner Jones, Secretary; Paulette Allen, Treasurer; and Dr. Robert B. Blair, PRP, Parliamentarian. Other members are Colleen Spears and John Wendt.
