CALLING ALL BLOODSUCKERS!Join Alternative Ulstours' 'Master of the Macabre' Andrew Johnston on World Dracula Day for an illustrated Terror Talk on Ireland's place in the creation of Bram Stoker's immortal Dracula.
Andrew will explore Stoker's Irish upbringing and the author's inspirations for the count, including Ireland's complex undead folklore, dating back to the 5th century and the bloody legend of Abhartach.
The night will also dig into Ireland's recently excavated 'vampire graves', a relic of the country's ancient fear of revenants.
Elsewhere, Andrew will illuminate a curious Ulster connection to John Polidori's 1819 work The Vampyre, as well as revealing behind-the-scenes gold from the movie Dracula Untold, shot in Northern Ireland in the 2010s.
So, come along to the iconic Sunflower Public House, buy a drink, pull up a seat and sink your fangs into Vaimpír: Ireland's Dracula Story!
