Popular Grateful Dead band Terrapin Flyer returns to the Volcanic Theatre Pub in Bend OR Thursday June 18For over 25 years Terrapin Flyer has been touring with the top names in the Grateful Dead world. Previous tours have included former members of the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band amongst many others from spinoff bands. And currently with lead guitarist Josh Olken. Josh has been recognized as one of the top interpreters of the Jerry-style technique and tone on guitar and has gained notable praise and accolades. Recently, Josh was asked to perform on Jerry Garcia's Tiger guitar and has played several other of Jerry's most cherished guitars. The owners of these guitars know he's one of the finest interpreters of Garcia's style. Josh is blowing peoples' minds.
Terrapin Flyer has covered quite a lot of ground for a good chunk of time. All of that time and experience has gained the band a cult status as a fan favorite in the Grateful Dead world. Since 2015, the band continues to tour in the Northwest and expanding it's tours to new cities every year. Following a Terrapin Flyer west coast tour would lead you through many of the best places in the western US.
