1. Arrival:
Upstairs function room at the King’s Head, Worcester 10am for registration. The entrance fee will be £3 and due on arrival.

2. Tournament Schedule:
Please note that this schedule is only an approximation to try and help you plan your day. We will endeavour to stick as closely to the schedule as we can however sometimes games can go long. Please confirm with an adjudicator when the next round is due to start before leaving the playing area.
3. Tournament Format:
3.1 This tournament is a points-based system
3.2 There will be 3 rounds
3.3 Games will be 4 players as far as possible, with some 3’s if required
3.4 First round players will be sorted into tables via randomiser app
3.5 Future tournaments will use seeding data for first round placements if this is not the first tournament of Castles of Burgundy.
4. General Tournament Rules
4.1 Players required: 8 - 16
4.2 Turn order will be determined randomly via a randomiser app
4.3 You may not undo any action once you’ve seen new information
4.4 Benefits received must be taken at the appropriate time. If you forget to do this, those benefits are lost. You cannot retrospectively claim those benefits, once new information is gained
4.5 This is a competitive game, colluding with other players will result in elimination
4.6 If an issue arises and the table cannot come to an agreement, then an adjudicator will be available on the day. Adjudicator’s decision is final
4.7 Once you have finished your game, please call over the adjudicator who will record the scores and tiebreak conditions
4.8 No loud noises or distracting actions while you or other players are playing
5. Tournament Specific Rules:
5.1 Rules as stated in rulebook and where appropriate rules clarifications on BGG with the following also applying:
5.2 The base game and prelude 1 expansion only
5.3 Drafting cards variant will be used
5.4 Corporate era variant will not be used
6. Game Tiebreaking:
6.1 The following in order, breaks the tie:
I. Most ‘MegaCredits’
II. Both players receive the higher position’s tournament points
7. Further Round Matchmaking:
7.1 Further round matchmaking will be sorted using the following, in order:
I. Current tournament points
II. Current tournament position
III. Percentage of best opponent’s score*
8. Final Tournament Standing:
The final tournament standing will then be in table order; the winner will be the player that comes 1st on the 1st table. E.g. the player who comes 2nd on the 3rd table will be 10th overall.
9. Prize:
The winner will be awarded with a voucher for a free T-shirt, courtesy of Shirts & Merch Studios, runner up will win £5.

The winner’s name will be added to the ‘Winners Table’ on Facebook for ongoing glory!
If at any time you would like to withdraw from the tournament, please advise the organiser, either in person or via contact details at the top of this form
*Percentage of best opponent’s score is calculated by dividing the players game score by the game score of their strongest opponent in the game (i.e. the winner’s score, or if the player in question won the score of the player finishing second). The highest possible tiebreak score for a round is 110%.
