The Dances of Universal Peace are a meditation in sound and movement. They are simple, meditative, and uplifting circle dances inspired to create peace and unity, within and without. The Dances honour the ideals and diversity which unite the many, many spiritual traditions: Buddhist, Christian, Judaic, Islam, the Great Mother, Indigenous of the Earth, Zoroastrian, Hindu, Sufi, Celtic etc...
Hazrat Inayat Khan, the great Sufi mystic, and considered to be the grandfather of the Dances, said in his Service for Peace, "we honour and all those who, whether known or unknown, have held aloft the light of truth amidst the darkness of human ignorance."
Through singing sacred phrases of many traditions and the body prayer of simple dances, we connect with the source of Love, Harmony and Beauty.

Matej is an accomplished musician and dance leader who brings a wonderful blend of steady presence and youthful exuberance to our circle.
Nicola Amina has been leading the Tasmanian Dances of Universal Peace community for 30 years. Her musicianship and devotion bring these dances to life, fostering a deep, joyful connection to their sacred essence.
This gathering will be a dedicated time for us to come together for uplifting singing, dancing, and practices designed for inner and outer peace.
