About this Event
There is a path towards softness within our table rituals. How we find our way back to ourselves by sitting at a table with friends, eating hot food, pouring water and wine into glasses, and then we’re whole beyond the self. Tender! What a better way to explore this experience through poetry than at the table itself, hosted by Shybird and Zinnia Smith. We’ll eat, drink, be generally merry as we read poems together about food, nostalgia, community, and cooking. Zinnia will lead you through specialized poetry prompts to explore the moment creatively. You’ll leave with starts to a few good poems and a full belly. Class will run from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. Your ticket comes with your first drink + Shy Bird tenders for the table.
about Zinnia:
Zinnia received a 2024 Mass Cultural Council Grant for Creative Individuals for the literary arts and a 2025 Literature Artist Fellowship grant from the Somerville Arts Council. She's currently selling wine and wandering.
