About this Event
Tender Hunger reimagines hunger as a storyteller. Not merely a biological signal, hunger becomes a voice that speaks of desire, absence, memory, creation, and fragility. In this project, hunger is understood both as a bodily sensation and an emotional and cultural condition.
Visitors are invited to step into a space where hunger is no longer invisible or ignored - but translated into forms that can be seen, held, and emotionally encountered. By materializing the intangible feeling of hunger, the installation encourages reflection on our relationship with food, nature, and the finite resources that sustain life.
It asks a simple yet profound question: What does it mean to feel hunger in a world where abundance and waste coexist? Through this lens, Tender Hunger becomes a quiet call for awareness, empathy, and responsibility.
This project is realized with the support of , , , and as Institutional Partners, and as Media Partner.

PERFORMANCE
On April 22 and April 24, the installation comes alive through two nighttime performances.
On April 22 (at 22:00), in collaboration with Carlo M. Vella and Marta Gavazzi from , a theatre company composed of deaf and hearing artists, performers engage with the monologues of different dimensions of hunger through the body. Their movements draw on subtle gestures and embodied perception, translating the text into a physical language. Through this interpretation, hunger is given form as a living, breathing presence - a silent monologue unfolding between body and object.
On April 24 (at 22:00 and 00:00, midnight), in collaboration with , ethnomusicologist at , a soundscape titled Tender Sound is created to interpret the monologues of hunger through sonic textures. Combined with a performance by the designer herself, this second activation deepens the emotional resonance of the work, transforming the installation into a space of shared reflection.
Both performances are free to attend, but reservation via Eventbrite is mandatory.
