About this Event
TENDER GROUND
As autumn deepens and the days grow shorter, we are invited to turn inward, to soften into the ground, and to lean into connection. In this October Deep Dive, we will land into the tender ground of our bodies — exploring how the body can meet this seasonal shift with awareness and movement.
Through somatic groundwork and the foundational principles of Contact Improvisation — sensing/listening, sharing weight, following a point of contact — we’ll discover how the ground can hold us, how the point of contact can guide us, and how improvisation can keep us curious and alive in motion.
Together, we’ll explore:
- Rooting into the body as a place of presence and support
- Meeting others through listening, weight-sharing, and touch
- Improvising with openness and responsiveness, moving between solo and shared explorations
The workshop is open to all curious moving bodies. Come as you are <3

“Movement is not something we do nearly so much as what we are, and harbinger to what we can become.” — Sonja Fraleigh
