Join us at Petals & Pages for a workshop on one of the greatest poets of all time in honor of her 195th birthday!About this Event
This workshop is both educational and generative. We'll learn about Emily's complex life buried by history (she was in a lifelong romantic relationship with her sister-in-law, Sue!), discuss her style of writing and the meaning of her poems, you'll write your own poem inspired by her writing philosophy of "telling it slant."
Since this workshop is in honor of Emily's 195th birthday this winter, we will be celebrating by sharing a sweet treat from Emily's notebook of recipes.
No previous writing or poetry experience is necessary.
