, (Nov 2024), already an international business bestseller.
Ken speaks from experience about winning moves for innovators, venture investors and dealmakers in China, and anywhere, actually!
From 2001 to 2011, he ran SVB in Silicon Valley and then spent four years living in Shanghai, leading the technology bank's efforts to set up a joint venture with Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. He was not totally prepared for all that happened.
Today, Ken teaches as an Adjunct Professor at U.C. Berkeley and is on the Board of Advisors of the Fudan University School of Management in Shanghai. An author of a prior book, Leading Through Culture (2021), he also writes a blog sharing insights about banking innovative companies and his China adventures.
Additionally, he is honorary chair of the Asia Society in Northern California and a board member of the Asian Art Museum.
Ken earned a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School, as well as a PhD in German studies from Ohio State University.
