TELEHANDLER HIGH RISK LICENCE COURSEHORSHAM, Vic

Telehandlers over 3 tonne S.W.L require High Risk Work Licencing.
Previously classified as cranes, these machines now have their own classification. This is High Risk Equipment & operators need to be properly trained & licenced.
High Risk Work licence issued is valid for Telehandlers of any capacity.
COURSE CONTENT SUMMARY
At the successful completion of this course, participants will be able to safely inspect & operate a Telehandler.
Course contents include:

• Hazard Identification & Control
• Communications
• Pre-Start inspections
• Start up operational checks
• General Operations
• Rated Capacity
• Load Centre Principles
• Calculations of load weight
• Shut Down
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
• Applicants must be over 18 & have a good grasp of English & a basic ability for math.
• Pre-Study material is issued for this course.
COURSE OVERVIEW
• Training is a combination of theory, practical & assessment— 24 hours over three days.
WHAT DO I GET ON COMPLETION OF THE COURSE?
On successful completion of this course, students will be issued with a Nationally Recognised
Statement of Attainment for 11249NAT Licence to Operate a Non-Slewing Telehandler.
A notice of satisfactory assessment is issued & the applicant is required to take this to any Australia Post outlet within 60 days, along with 100 points of ID & Worksafe licence fee.
The Unique Student Identifier (USI) must be supplied and verified prior to issuance.
*Students will be required to present photo I.D on arrival, wear normal casual clothing and safety footwear and have completed pre-study material.
Students will be provided with morning tea and coffee.
Kitchen facilities are available to people who wish to bring their own lunch or alternatively there are cafés and lunch bars within close proximity.
