About this Event

Join AmeriHealth Caritas and Dr. Sarah Nunez (she/her/ella) for an interactive workshop with healing herbs. This course will provide an overview of herbs you can use as you are dealing with grief. We will review the use of tinctures and rose tea that are supportive elements to allow you to move through the grief that you carry and be in a deeper relationship with herbs that can support your whole being.

Participants will take small samples to use at home.

Interpretation (English to Spanish) provided.

Please park in the lower parking lot of AmeriHealth Caritas Wellness Center and enter front doors.

Dr. Sarah Nunez was born in Bogota, Colombia, and raised in North Carolina. She is a cultural worker, weaving storytelling and testimonials, art, herbs, and movement-building throughout her work, teaching, and organizing. She is one of three founders of Aflorar Herb Collective which grows herbs and distributes herbal community care kits, plants, and seeds to organizers, activists, and nurturers across the country. Sarah loves building positive people power in the South. Her current projects include growing herbs and flowers, teaching, writing, consulting, and bringing healing practices, art, and organizing modalities as tools for transformation to groups across the country.

Kids 7+ are welcome to join. Younger kids can play in our unsupervised kids room equipped with toys, a chalk wall, coloring books, books and Disney plus.
