Welcome to my 60th birthday party on Monday, October 20The venue is Tavastia-klubi, the most legendary rock club in Helsinki. Expect live music, talks, and surprises—some of the program will connect to my new book on the history of the hooked cross (swastika) symbol.
The fun begins at 6 pm, and you are welcome to drop by for a moment or stay until late (we will continue at least until midnight, maybe longer).
Your presence is the present—just bring good vibes. No entrance fee (though the cloakroom may charge a couple of euros). You are welcome to bring a partner or a friend. And since I may not be able to reach everyone I’d like to, please feel free to spread the word to our mutual friends.
The evening also doubles as a World Political Rock Night, a concept I launched when I became professor of World Politics a couple of decades ago. The program will feature several languages, and music by some of the best artists of Finland. Besides the main stage, there will also be quieter spaces for meeting old and new friends.
Before the party, I will host a World Political City Walk (in English). We will meet in front of the Bank of Finland, by the statue of J.V. Snellman (Snellmaninaukio), at 4:30 pm. The walk will end at Tavastia (Urho Kekkosen katu 4–6) right in time for the celebration. But you are most welcome to come only to the party.
You are also welcome to dress as you wish.

Love & peace,
Teivo
