Tees Valley Salsa's first Saturday of every month social! September we have the one and only Mauricio Reyes! It's his second time in Yarm, as last September with Mauricio was such a huge success and we had so much great feedback, we just had to book him in again there and then! Like last time, as well as our regular social on the evening, we will have an optional afternoon workshop too! 💃🕺
Originally from Latin America but based in Birmingham (UK), Mauricio Reyes is the founder of Latin Motion, the biggest salsa outfit in the Midlands since it was established in the early 1990's. Mauricio has been dancing and listening to salsa all of his life and has been teaching salsa dance since the tender age of 17. Mauricio is a regular DJ at some of the UKs biggest salsa events and has been awarded 'Top UK Salsa DJ', 'Top Regional Promoters' & 'Services to Salsa' awards many times. As a dedicated salsa DJ, dance instructor and promoter Mauricio's work within the UK salsa scene has been extensive.
*******************AFTERNOON WORKSHOP*******************
If you want to learn from one of the very best and improve your technique whilst dancing, this is the afternoon for you!
The workshop will be bookable and payable in advance so we can limit numbers and ensure similar numbers of leaders and followers. We aim to give everyone the best learning experience with Mauricio during this cross body salsa workshop.
The workshop will take place between 12pm and 4pm at Yarm Fellowship Hall. There will be three hours of teaching over the afternoon allowing our brains to relax between, ask Mauricio questions, practice dancing the moves and of course refuel! We recommend people to bring a packed lunch - we will supply tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits!
Please note, the workshop will be aimed at improver/intermediate level. If you're not sure, please just ask!

September is a while away so we are offering some early bird prices for those wanting to book soon. Please note, places for the afternoon workshop will be limited and we expect it to fill up quickly.

There is no need to book for the evening social - just turn up and dance! Mauricio will be teaching a bachata class on the evening.
There will be fantastic music all night long by Mauricio and Graham (aka DJ Alto) - predominantly salsa with a good mix of bachata and kizomba 🎧

💃🕺Bachata Class: 8.30pm til 9.30pm
💃🕺Social dancing: 9.30pm til 1am
💃🕺Cost: £12 (no booking required just turn up on the night as always)
Yarm Fellowship Hall is a fabulous venue with a great dance floor, lots of space and seating areas🥰 Don't forget to bring any drinks and nibbles you want for a great social night!! 🕺💃😀😍🥳
