Teen Craftivism--- Mondays: June 8, July 6, August 3
--- 6-7:30pm; in the Innovation Lab
--- Registration required
During Teen Craftivism, teens will learn a new craft and the history behind it, focusing on both historical and modern uses of arts and crafts. From quilt codes leading the way to freedom to modern ecological warriors “bombing” barren cityscapes with wildflower seeds, arts and crafts have a long legacy of being used to convey a message.
Monthly crafts for June through August are as follows:
--- June 8: 3D Printed Safety Whistles
--- July 6: Zines
--- August 3: DIY Tea Bags
Registration for each session of Teen Craftivism opens one month before the session meets. Registration can be completed online at bit.ly/teencraftivism, by calling 309.590.6168, or by visiting the Help Desk at the Library and registering in person.
