If you want to see your child light up the stage and have a blast doing it, join us for three weeks of laughter, creativity, and unforgettable memories at our Sketch Comedy Teen Camp. If your child has a flair for comedy writing or performing and an imagination that knows no bounds, this camp is the perfect summer destination. We’re all about immersing young comedians in the world of sketch comedy, where creativity takes center stage and the laughter never stops.
Throughout this three week camp, we will guide campers through the ins and outs of sketch writing, character development, and comedic timing, as well as building essential life skills like confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving. From brainstorming sessions to improv games, every day is filled with fun activities designed to unleash your child’s inner comedian. And with flexible drop-off and pickup times, we’re here to make life easier for you while providing an enriching experience for your kids.

Requirements:
Students must be between the ages of 12 and 17 to register. Tuition is nonrefundable. Students should bring their own lunch. Water, sparkling water, and snacks (snacks will meet EMSA Health and Safety Standards) will be provided for breaks.
Parking & Accessibility:
Sierra 2 has two free parking lots and various on-street parking options. Our venue is upstairs on floor 2. The building is wheelchair accessible (including the bathrooms and access to the second floor). Please let us know if you require any special accommodations ahead of time and we’ll be happy to help.
About the instructor:
Jessilee Windhaus is a Sacramento local and a firm believer in the power of applied improvisation. With a background in both short form and long form comedy, she is a 20-year improv veteran who has trained with Upright Citizen’s Brigade and The Groundlings and performed in cities all across the country. With more than a decade of teaching experience, Jessilee holds a BA in Theatre and Dance from Sacramento State University. She is the Co-Founder of Empire Arts Collective and the Founder of That Plus Chips live sketch and improv comedy ensemble. She has toured with the world-renowned Missoula Children’s Theatre and was a mainstage performer at Sacramento Comedy Spot and ComedySportz Sacramento where she served as the Director of the High School League program. Other comedy credits include Sutter Street Theatre, Garbeau’s Dinner Theatre, Dangerous Men/Dangerous Women, The Dinner Detective, CSU Sacramento, and Bike City Theatre Company where she served as the Director of Sketch.
In addition to her comprehensive experience teaching theatre and comedy to people of all ages, Jessilee is trained in:
