With Malawi and Barbados origins, Mandowa is a electronic music producer, and painter, noted for releases on the LA based Brainfeeder record label under the moniker Teebs. His paintings often reflect his music production: collaging, overlapping, and mixing imagery with painted gestures to create a meditative and abstract visual landscapes. The work emanates a sense of organic appeal with feelings of warmth and rhythm coalescing. At times the works seem overgrown with organic shapes bending and folding atop one another while at other times the compositions remain sparse and refined.
Divina is a self-taught sonic storyteller, weaving emotion into sound for over nine years through the lens of Ableton Live. Rooted in the soulful textures of r&b, latin rhythms, hip-hop grit, and velvety soul, her solo work reflects a deep connection to feeling and form. Yet her artistry knows no boundaries—she effortlessly flows between ambient soundscapes, lo-fi lullabies, reggae and dub grooves, afro-beat pulses, and drum & bass energy.
