Tedeschi Trucks Band is an American blues-rock and soul ensemble formed in 2010 by singer-songwriter Susan Tedeschi and guitarist Derek Trucks. The group emerged from the merging of their individual solo bands after the couple married, bringing together a large, rotating lineup that includes dual drummers, a full horn section, and rich backing vocals. Rooted in blues but drawing heavily from soul, gospel, jazz, rock, and Americana, the band quickly became known for its expansive, improvisational live shows and deeply collaborative spirit.
The band released its debut album, Revelator, in 2011, which marked a major breakthrough and won the Grammy Award for Best Blues Album in 2012.
