The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is excited to partner with the Boonshoft Museum of Discovery for their annual Teddy Bear Clinic, happening at Boonshoft on March 7 from 10am-2pm.Children are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animal in for a special check-up with Dr. Staab, our veterinarian at the Dayton Humane Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Staab, who also helps care for the animals at Boonshoft, will be performing gentle stuffed animal “exams” so kids can experience what a real veterinary visit looks like in a fun and comforting environment.
During the visit, stuffed animals will receive:
• A heart listened to
• Ears checked
• Vaccinations against nightmares
• A full wellness exam
If a beloved plush friend needs a little extra care, volunteers from The Dayton Sewing Collective will be onsite at Boonshoft providing small cosmetic repairs such as stitching loose seams or fixing minor tears. Repairs are first come, first served and limited to minor fixes.
This event takes place at Boonshoft Museum of Discovery and is included with general museum admission. There is no additional cost to participate.
Bring your child and their favorite stuffed companion to Boonshoft for a day of learning, imagination, and plenty of smiles.
