About this Event
As part of Lucy Raven’s Murderers Bar, Deantoni Parks delivers an experimental performance that transforms rhythm, texture, and atmosphere into a dynamic soundscape, echoing the exhibition’s tension and mystery.
Using a bass drum, hi-hat, snare, and a two-octave mini MIDI keyboard, Parks manipulates a vast sonic palette through sophisticated sampling techniques, creating immersive sounds that respond directly to Raven’s exploration of ecological change and the release of the Klamath River.
A boundary-pushing virtuoso, Parks has collaborated with The Mars Volta, Bosnian Rainbows, and KUDU, excels in film and TV scoring, and founded Technoself Immersive, a tech-art fair exploring consciousness. His performance amplifies the force, pressure, and fluid dynamics captured in Raven’s work, filling the gallery with a visceral, resonant experience.
