We keep going deeper in our AI & Social Innovation series, demystifying how AI works.

As AI is developed and AI-powered tools become more promising and widely available, there's a temptation to assume this technology is a definitive answer to most of our troubles. However, human problems require human actions to be solved, even if new instruments can help to foster innovative solutions. In this roundtable, we'll analyse how techno-solutionism can be an issue in matching expectations when delivering social innovation.

Colin has recently returned to Scotland after 25 years living abroad in Germany, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and Malaysia. He is the Scottish director of Freeman Clarke, an organisation which provides the "grey hair or nay hair" to small/medium sized companies north of the border. Freeman Clarke supports organisations as they grow by ensuring IT aligns with the objectives of the companies, avoiding icebergs, and assessing risk/rewards of new opportunities provided by technologies such as cyber, blockchain and AI.
