About this Event

Class Experience


Sharpen your culinary skills in this technique-focused, hands-on class designed for aspiring chefs! You'll start with essential knife skills: creating a sachet d’aromats and bouquet garni, chopping parsley, and prepping asparagus. Learn to break down a whole fish into fillets and use the remains to craft a flavorful fish stock. From there, make a classic velouté mother sauce, pan-sear your fish fillets to perfection, and round out the meal with sautéed asparagus and lemon-parsley potatoes.


Class is approximately 2- 3 hours


Menu:

• Knife Skills make a Sachet d Aromats and Bouquet Garni, chop parsley, clean and prepare asparagus)

• Whole fish dissection (separate fillets from carcass, and remove skin)

• Fish stock (using the produce previously processed: onion, leek, celery, asparagus, parsley, and fish carcass)

• Pan Sear Fish Fillet (using fish previously processed)

• Veloute Mother Sauce ( using fish stock)

• Sauteed Asparagus

• Lemon Parsley Potatoes

• Recipes, which will be emailed at the end of class

Class is approximately 2- 3 hours


Price is per person, and unfortunately, Sawyer is limited in its ability to register multiple adults for a single class. So, if you would like to register another adult for this class, you must sign them up as your child. Simply choose "ADD CHILD” and enter your guests name and a birthday. This will allow you to register another participant. Price is per person, so it will add the additional cost for the seat. Or you can have your guest(s) create an account and register themselves separately.
