Joined by a six-piece jazz ensemble, tap and contemporary dancers, actors, and a turntable/soundscape artist, Brinae Ali will lead you on an immersive artistic journey where rhythm, movement, and melody converge in an unforgettable experience.Enter the ensemble’s most recent project, The Baby Laurence Legacy Project, an immersive, interdisciplinary performance experience that celebrates the life and legacy of iconic jazz tap dancer Donald “Baby Laurence” Jackson. A public engagement will invite audiences to learn about his life and impact on tap and jazz dance in America through choreography, compositions, improvisation, and archival research.
