Techathon Nationals and Rover Summit is a flagship national-level initiative organized by the IUT Robotics Society (IUTRS) of Islamic University of Technology. Designed to celebrate innovation, robotics excellence, and competitive technological spirit, this event aims to bring together some of the brightest young minds from schools, colleges, and universities across Bangladesh under one dynamic platform.
This year marks a historic milestone as IUTRS will host the first-ever Rover Summit in Bangladesh, creating a collaborative space for rover enthusiasts, robotics teams, innovators, and aspiring engineers to showcase their technical expertise and creative problem-solving abilities. Rover Teams from all over the country will join this summit for a first ever joint showcasing and technical knowledge exchange under a formal platform. The summit is envisioned as a national convergence point for autonomous systems, competitive robotics, embedded technologies, and applied engineering solutions.
Techathon Nationals and Rover Summit will feature a diverse range of robotics and innovation-driven competitions, including autonomous racing, drone challenges, design competitions,combat robotics,gaming championships, business strategy contests, technical olympiads and industry-linked ideation pitches. Each segment has been structured to encourage practical implementation of knowledge, teamwork, critical thinking, and real-world application of engineering concepts.
Beyond competition, the event seeks to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry by introducing event such as Ideation Challenge, where participants will present technology-driven product ideas directly to company representatives and industry leaders. This initiative aims to foster entrepreneurial thinking and bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical innovation.
Through this landmark event, IUTRS aspires to establish IUT as a national hub for robotics and technological advancement, while inspiring the next generation of engineers, innovators, and leaders to push the boundaries of creativity and engineering capability.
