Come get creative and make your own beautiful handmade teapot at the Back Mountain Makery!
Join Jo Pilston for a fun and creative pottery class where you will make your own handbuilt teapot from clay.
This class will be approximately 2½ hours long and is perfect for anyone who just wants a relaxing night being creative. If you can't make it to class till 6pm, contact Jo via FB Message or email at [email protected] and we can have parts of the teapot already prepared for you.
Please note: This is not a wheel throwing class. You will be given a slab of clay, and Jo will guide you step-by-step through the process of building your teapot.
During the class you will:
• Choose from a large selection of textures
• Select your favorite glaze color
• Learn how to assemble and decorate your teapot
If you prefer, you can skip the spout and handle and turn your piece into a beautiful lidded cookie jar instead.
No experience is necessary — just come ready to have fun and get creative. You’ll leave knowing you made something completely unique with your own hands!
Your teapot will travel with Jo to her studio to be fired and glazed. You will be able to pick up your teapot within 2-3 weeks after the class. Jo will post on FB when they can be picked up.

Gina Storms LMT, Waynes World or Ochman's Jewelry and Coin as to allow parking for their customers is also needed.
PLEASE arrive 10-15 minutes earlier than time of workshop start time to allow time for settling in.
Workshop will be Non-Refundable with any "No Show/No Call"
ALL cancelations need to be called in to 570-449-4529 or Facebook message before 3 days/72 hour deadline of Workshop scheduled date & time.
All cancelations may have the option to be refunded, MINUS 15% as credit card and restocking fees are applied.

They do extend hours with all workshops and we close for holidays to spend time with our family!
