Inspired by our student Steve Knapp and the great time we had in 2018, Team TangoStride has been back each year to walk, run, roll & boogie on down the road! Our dance-based program empowers people with disabilities due to TBI, stroke, neurological conditions to improve their standing, walking, balance, coordination, strength and confidence.
In April 2017, our student Steve Knapp said he was going to "Walk around Green Lake." He showed up at the Brain Injury Alliance of Washington’s (BIAWA) Walk, Run & Roll event with a posse of family and friends, and walk he did! He used his walker (and wheelchair for breaks) and walked the entire mile! Inspired by Steve’s hard work, in 2018 we brought a whole TangoStride™ Team... and we've been boogie-ing each year since -- even joining virtually in 2020 & 2021!
